Ellen and Diane wanted me to share five things you didn't know about me. Bud and Matt tagged me, too. Since I recently participated in (and discussed) this meme, let me change it to five things I've been working on lately:
1. Finding advertisers for Know More Media. I'm learnig a lot about blog promotion, online advertising rates and formats, and otherwise gtting a crash course in marketing.
2. Adding ads to our blogs. This goes along with #1, and involves a lot of research and also copy-paste mayhem. You'd be surprised how much empty space there is on a typical blog and how hard it can be to choose the right ad to go with your content.
3. Improving blogs around our network. I'm lumping a bunch of little things under this heading - removing spam comments and trackbacks, giving authors traffic tips and blogging advice, commenting at different blogs, suggesting improvements to other members of our team, etc.
4. Promoting our blog posts. Been doing a bit of BIZZbites promotion.
5. Writing the occasional post here and at Business Blog Wire.

I have been making money online by blogging more than a year. I did most of the things you mentioned to grow my blog and generate income. Personally I think that 'thing' no.4 "Promoting our blog posts" is most important to make a blog succeed.
