You've probably heard some of these before. But they bear repeating.
1. Write magnetic headlines.
2. Link to your older posts in every post.
3. Link to other blogs in every post.
4. Use social media sites like StumbleUpon, Digg and Newsvine for 15 minutes a day. (Note: Newsvine tends to be time consuming because you really do have to be participative to network and gain credibility with the community; 15 minutes a day is probably not enough for Newsvine.)
5. Put compelling photos or videos in your posts.
6. Ask people to subscribe to your feed.
7. Put a link to your blog in your email signature.
8. Publish posts consistently - e.g. twice every weekday morning.
9. Email a popular blogger and ask them to link to a great post you've published.
10. Mention Britney Spears in your post headlines.
Just kidding. Here's my real #10:
10. Ask your readers to leave comments and answer every comment with an email.
